The second annual Chattahoochee Hills Tree Lighting was a festive celebration on Dec. 1, 2008. This year’s event featured a live nativity scene with members from Rico United Methodist Church, the Chattahoochee Hills Singers, a newly formed special events choir; hot chocolate and refreshments provided by the churches, and a short program with guest speakers Mayor Don Hayes, Ms. Public Safety Molcie Trimble, mistress of ceremonies Melea Brett, and guests of honors, Santa and Mrs. Santa Claus.
