Chatt Hills Charter School - Imagine the Possibilities
By Laurie Searle
Have
you ever wished for a do-over? I have. I sometimes wish that I had been a better
student in high school, and that I didn’t attend a school the size of three city
blocks with 1,500 other kids, and that there had been at least one other
educator besides my band teacher who inspired me.Over the years, I’ve met many others who wished for a better school experience. Some were so uninspired that they gave up on education after high school; others, like me, were late bloomers who continued their education later in life; still others had a good educational experience and now want the same, or better, for their children.
While we can’t change the past, we can change the future – at least for our children here in Chattahoochee Hills – by creating a charter school. So, what’s your pleasure? Small classroom sizes, well chosen teachers who will inspire your kids, a curriculum that exceeds academic standards, opportunities to integrate education with the natural world? Imagine the possibilities.
