A smiley face on an easel chart set a positive tone for the Community Input Meeting held at City Hall on June 30, together with the news that a proposed plan had been worked out that would allow the Community Library to continue operating at City Hall.

Earlier this month, many residents voiced concern after learning that the Library’s contract would not be renewed, due to the City’s needs for additional operating space.

Mayor Don Hayes responded by inviting the Chattahoochee Hills Civic Association (ChCivic) and Community Brickworks (who manages the Library) to work together to organize a series of community meetings, with the goal of gathering a community-wide consensus on how best to integrate the needs of the community, with the requirements of the City.
